Creative Landscapes book-binding project. The aim of this project is to document the landscapes of Grasmere and Rydal Water in the Lake District, UK. The forms have to be non-literal with no photography allowed.
Creative Landscapes was a research project that I was part of during my first year at university. Working with Lucy Biggs, we traveled to Grasmere to gain a better understanding of the landscape. We were asked to document all of our senses during the walk around the lake before turning these feelings and memories into creative outcomes. This project also required us to consider paper and paper types, working with Debbie Wigglesworth I gathered a range of different papers from different companies.
My final outcome was a set of mixed media illustrations that were then scanned and digitalised before I printed them onto different paper samples, and bound into a final book.
